Pete earned his CISSP certification through (ISC) 2, an international non-profit membership association focused on inspiring a safe and secure cyber world. According to their website, (ISC) 2 is universally recognized as the Gold Standard in information security certification and the credentials they offer are essential to both individuals and employers for the seamless safety and protection of information assets and infrastructures.
The CISSP draws from a comprehensive, up-to-date, global common body of knowledge that ensures security leaders have a deep knowledge and understanding of new threats, technologies, regulations, standards and practices. The exam takes six hours to complete and requires the candidate to answer 250 multiple choice and advanced innovative questions.
Pete, who is also a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), shares these thoughts about becoming CISSP certified:
